Spinecor @ Presque Isle
The Spinecor® brace is a game-changer for non-invasive scoliosis treatment! Whether for correcting and controlling ideopathic adolescent scoliosis, or for reduction of adult scoliosis pain, the dynamic nature of the Spinecor® brace can do wonders for treatment compliance. Unlike standard rigid bracing, such as the Boston TLSO or even the Schroth, Gomez (GOSS), and Cheneau, the Spinecor® is made completely of dynamic flexible parts.
At Presque Isle, our Clinical Director, Jonathan Heifetz CPO/L, was one of the first Orthotists in the US to be trained in the Spinecor® treatment protocol. Through a coordinated clinic with Dr. Charles Mehlman, Orthopedic Surgeon at Cincinatti Children's, as well as private patients through his own clinic, he has succesfully fit hundreds of patients with this dynamic non-rigid scoliosis bracing system. Jonathan has also co-authored a study on the effectiveness of the Spinecor® compared to rigid bracing for ideopathic scoliosis treatment.
All of the services we offer for the Spinecor® evaluation, fitting and follow-up are covered by most insurance plans. There's usually no need to pay out-of-pocket for any additional costs besides for your cost-sharing portion of your insurance plan (i.e. copays, coinsurance, deductibles etc.) We also accept the Insurance allowable discounts for insurance companies we are in-network with. You may click here to see a list of the plans we are currently participating with. Even if your plan is not listed, we might still be able to access your benefits.
