Ginny is a NDT certified Pediatric PT from Silver Spring, Maryland. She has worked at NIH, a pediatric rehab hospital, and in schools. She currently works for her local school system in their early intervention program. Ginny earned her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy at Emory University and her DScPT at the University of Maryland Baltimore. She is on the editorial board of Rehab Management Magazines. Ginny has presented and published nationally and internationally including APTA, Medtrade, Canadian Seating and Mobility, European Seating Symposium, World Physical Therapy Conference and AACPDM. She was a plenary speaker at the International Seating Symposium in 2010 and the European Seating Symposium in 2011. Ginny and her advisor, Dr. Leslie Glickman, PhD, PT, presented her dissertation as a long program at CSM in San Diego in February 2010 where Ginny also participated in the pre-conference on body weight support gait therapy. Ginny's systematic review on supported standing was published in 2010. She is on the team creating RESNA and PMG (European Standards Group) position papers for standing and pediatric power mobility.
Lois Brown, MPT, ATP is a physical therapist with 19 years experience, and the Rehab Clinical Education Specialist for Invacare. Her professional experience includes adult and adolescent rehab and wheeled seating and mobility in several wheelchair clinics in Philadelphia, PA. Lois also has extensive experience in working with clients with Brain Injuries, other Neuromuscular Diseases, Developmental Disabilities and Pressure Management. Lois has presented in national and international conferences on Wheeled Seating and Mobility and Assistive Technology, including the International Seating Symposium and RESNA conference. Lois has been published in a variety of Rehab Publications and is considered an expert in her field.
Lois graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Temple University and a subsequent Masters in Physical Therapy in 1992. She holds an Assistive Technology Professional Credential from RESNA, with professional memberships including the APTA and RESNA. She serves on the board and as a professional consultant to the Fighting Back Program in Philadelphia, a fitness program for individuals living with a disability.
